ABOUT THE CLIENT:
ACX Cinema 12+ is a locally-owned, premier cinema, offering a cutting-edge movie-going experience with Dolby Atmos immersive sound, ultra-wide 70' screens, leather heated recliners and laser projection. The cinema also includes the Backlot Pizza + Kitchen dining experience, serving Detroit-style pizza, classic favorites and craft cocktails.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Luna’s Project’s main objective with ACX Cinema was to establish a strong brand presence and support their growth. This involved creating cohesive branding for ACX Cinema and its sub-brands, Select and Infinity, and designing various communication materials to increase brand recognition and engagement.
Luna Project thoughtfully designed the ACX Cinema logo to reflect the impact of the cinematic experience. The ACX logo features an emphatic “X” with pixels that evoke an energy all their own. Having a clear understanding of the scale this logo would be displayed on and the opportunity for impact led to our development of signage that is both distinctive and compelling when viewed at a large size. We chose a powerful combination of navy and neon green and set design choices in place for the development of future sister logos. Ultimately, Luna Project’s goal was to visually communicate the electric element of cinema, the presence of light within the medium and the excitement and anticipation of the movie-going experience.
